Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)

Provision of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services

Since November 2022, Best Shelter with the funding support of Access To Health Fund has been providing essential SRHR services towards Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and people from conflict affected villages in Laukkaing and Muse townships in Shan North. The services are delivered through community mobilization and demand generation activities led by locally recruited Community Prevention Workers (Youths) and mobile medical teams consisting of well-trained Nurse and Treatment Facilitator. In addition, the teams also facilitate referral services (long term family planning and cervical cancer screening services, Emergency Obstetric Care) in close collaboration with local implementing partners such as AHRN, MSI and available private/public hospitals.
