Provision of relief assistance and specialized nutritious food in IDP camps

Since February 2022, Best Shelter with the funding support of World Food Programme (WFP) has been providing relief assistance with cash-based transfer (CBT) modality towards Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Monekoe, Muse townships in Shan North.

The overall objectives of project activities are:

1) To ensure crisis-affected people in food insecure areas meet their food and nutrition needs all year round,

2) To enhance access to sufficient nutritious food among crisis-affected pregnant and lactating women and children 6-23 months.

Targeted populations

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)

  •  Relief assistance with Cash Based Transfer (CBT)
  • Distribution of specialized nutritious food for pregnant women, lactating mother and children 6-23 months
  • Cooking demonstration activity with camp communities
  • Capacity building of project staff on nutrition and food security
